Benjamin C Dearnley Fragments of our time
Contemporary Gallery, Stone, Steel & Stained glass
The combination of materials in this section shows my journey to find a new form of expression. My background has fed this desire to explore combining materials and traditions of the past with a modern approach. I find inspiration coming from the many travels and experiences I have had in life, as these are surely our true teachers.

Light within. Light Eternal Shining. The pathway leads ever on. Stay a while, Quiet mind. In stillness, Revealation. We are all Colours. In Time.

Back view
This piece captures the beauty of the natural light with the stined glass panels held within the tall shard of slate. The title references the lower panel where the stained glass holds an image of the worlds tallest buildings. As they reach ever higher into the sky the sun weeps tears of fire in dismay at Man's lack of care for the planet.
