This commission was for a high end Horologist store in Nicosia Cyprus.

Detail, stauaray marble

This is a first as the design on the back is carved and infiled with a bronze resin. The fragmented torso of Icarus has one hand pointing to towards the ground and the tattoo like design on the back shows the flight of Icarus.

The message of his father then is: Fly high, but always keep an eye on the ground.

Dual aspect figurehead with horse head inside the curl of the wave. This piece references the calm waters on a still day with the calm face on the oustide and then the wild high seas on the inside with the horse head representing the white horses on the crests of the waves.
